Today, I watched the parliament proceedings today, and noticed the glaring gap between Parliament and the people it claims to represent.
During a critical debate on the fuel crisis and the unbearable cost of living, the House, founded by taxpayers to the tune of;

So - Who exactly are we paying for every month?

Kenyans are funding a Parliament that is expected to show up, deliberate, and account for national crises in real time.

What do we get in return?
a) empty benches during critical debates
b) Selective attendance

349 elected legislators—appeared shockingly empty.

When millions of Kenyans are struggling with rising fuel prices, transport costs, food inflation, and economic pressure, the very institution meant to defend their interests was visibly under-attended.
