The African Union has adopted the statute for the establishment of the Africa Food Safety Agency. This landmark decision was made during the 38th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia last month. #Agenda2063

This significant advancement underscores our commitment to:
1.Protecting consumer health
2.Strengthening Africa’s food safety governance
3.Facilitating trade in safe food products under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA)
