@TimSweeneyEpic We have better tools now, it’s easier than ever to develop shit. And you are taking nearly as long as Steam launched in 2003 took to add user reviews. GOG could match Steam almost immediately. You are taking almost a decade to add a basic feature
@TimSweeneyEpic Steam: added user reviews 5 years before EGS launched
GOG: around the same time
EGS: no user reviews for 8 years and still going
“If a service is good they can just have all the users and the money with terrible competition not standing a chance”
@shadcn Once you get really good at prompting you may realize it’s cheaper and faster to execute the prompt yourself rather than paste it into an AI and then have to review their job :D
@panthurrrr@ToolDetector@holtmuer@Pirat_Nation Day 1 of steam was in 2003 and was a pioneer. This is not a faithful comparison, when Epic launched it was a basic expectation for a storefront to have achievements and user reviews. It took them 3 and a half years to add ratings. No reviews still.
BEFORE AFTER
Day one fixing Steam mobile page
1. Search is full width
2. Slides don't cut off abruptly
3. Proper hierarchy for the pricing tag
4. Bigger burger button
Work in progress...
@KenshiOfficial I just tried it out yesterday. Played with my gf on the call. She said the gameplay was “riveting”. I stole a sword, got caught and tried escaping the prison 3 times. I like the vibe, but I hardly understand what the goal of the game is.
@mannupaaji I spend tens of hours at work fixing this bug and no, “overscroll-contain” is not trustworthy. It’ll weirdly fail in Safari.
The only firesure way is to set overflow hidden on the body, use absolute with negative padding, store Y position of the window and restore scroll later.
@anbc_handsome@theojehl Yes exactly. It’s a hex editor with a funny name. Imagine getting banned for having VS Code open (you might be coding cheats in that!)
@nsg650@theojehl You ever used a “cheatsheet”? You know cheating is different? Imagine Vanguard detecting a math CHEATsheet pdf on your PC and banning you for that? Are you that dense you don’t understand that Cheat Engine is for singleplayer games?
@3v____Xeqtr@theojehl Yeah bro. Because cheating in a singleplayer game is the same as cheating in a competitive online game. I guess everyone who ever cheated in class or college, used a cheatsheet also deserve to be banned in every online games. Filthy cheaters!
@theojehl Bro, you have no idea what you are talking about. Cheat Engine is useless in online games, I remember I used it as a kid to give myself more money in SPORE. It’s a different kind of cheating. Imagine getting banned at League for cheating on a math exam. Not their fucking business
