@ShawnaSveinson @OntarioTrucker @safernwohwys I agree, Shawna. I'm a little surprised that truck drivers aren't shouting from rooftops that they want these highways twinned as well. I can't imagine being behind a truck that was in an accident, it's traumatizing for everybody involved. Safer highways = wins for all

More lives were lost on Hwy 17, yesterday. Sadly, this is just one of too many accidents that have resulted in unnecessary loss of life.
There are too many transports on our Hwys!
Our Hwy needs to be twinned!

@safernwohwys I hate that this gets touted as a Regional issue - it's a National safety issue! When you have twinned highways running from BC and then hit the NWO bottle neck anybody on the road is at risk.

Driving in a snow storm in icy, windy conditions and low visibility. My husband and I were stuck in a huge line of traffic when a transport passed us on the right forcing us toward the highway centre line and nearly into oncoming traffic. #wedeservesaferNWOhwys
