When monitoring Reed Warbler nests, we occasionally come across the magic of a Cuckoo egg. This year it took 75 Reed Warbler nests to find a Cuckoo egg. It's an amazing ecological arms race between the two species. Will the Warbler recognize the difference and eject it?

It was very misty here in Glastonbury at sunrise. I managed to get a quick phone pic of this very vivid Brocken Spectre around the shadow of St Michael's tower. I have seen them before up there but not as vivid in colour as this one.
