🚨 Mourinho blasts Djed Spence over Partey handshake snub:
“Everybody wants to be the hero today. Everybody wants the cameras. But football is not about making statements for social media.
A man has been charged, yes, but he has not been found guilty. There is a process, there are courts, and there is a principle called innocent until proven guilty.
What makes this even stranger is that every other England player shook his hand and carried on with their job. One player decided he wanted to make himself the story. Why? For what? To send a message? To whom?
Too many people today want to be the judge, the jury, and the executioner before the facts have been decided. That is not their role.
You shake hands because you respect the game and the profession. If one day the courts decide otherwise, then people can draw their conclusions. Until then, let the proper authorities do their job.
This is football, not a courtroom.
Today, I had the honour of taking my oath of office before @UN Secretary-General @antonioguterres as Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna and Executive Director of @UNODC.
In taking this oath, I am reminded that international civil service is, above all, a commitment to people. As I solemnly declared my dedication to carry out these functions with integrity, impartiality, and the utmost regard for the purposes and principles of the United Nations, I reflected on the responsibility that comes with this trust.
I step into this role with humility, gratitude and a profound sense of duty, and look forward to working with colleagues and partners across the UN system, and the world to advance peace, security, justice and the rule of law, for a more prosperous and dignified future for all.
Breaking: The DRC government has now said it has the capacity to host and treat all its Ebola patients.
That statement exposes the greed of the William Ruto/UDA government.
If DRC can handle the patients, why was Kenya willing to take on the risk?
It would be one thing if DRC lacked the facilities or expertise. But they say they have both and the US agrees.
So what exactly is the justification for bringing Ebola patients to Kenya?
This is what happens when you elect greedy leaders, They will sell anything and accept any money even if it wil harm you the persons who voted for them. Even if it means exposing Kenyans to Ebola.
Then you hear people chanting "Tutam" and you wonder, TUTAM for what? For bringing EBOLA to Kenya?
How do you support leaders willing to expose your own people to such risks?
This is what a kakistocracy looks like.

KENYA: https://t.co/lftPuVfjQp @MOH_Kenya I don't see you quoted in this NYT article. When was this going to be shared with the public if true?
Kenyan police allowed Arsenal fans to gather and disperse peacefully but they never allow the same youth to protest against the government without killing some
If you are in Mombasa, Mtwapa, Kilifi, Kikambala, or Takaungu today and you keep hearing a strange high-pitched plane making endless circles, relax. Nothing suspicious is happening.
We can reveal that calibration works are currently underway at Moi International Airport.
The aircraft in question is ENF01, an Italian Piaggio P.180 Avanti operated by ENAV. We tracked it back in 2022 in Italy, back then.
Its job is to recalibrate and test:
- ILS landing systems
- airport radio communication systems
- radar equipment
- Instrument approach systems used by aircraft landing in Mombasa
That is why it keeps making repeated loops over the Coast.
And yes, the reason it sounds so unusual is that the P.180 Avanti has rear-facing propellers that produce that very high-pitched sound.
So if you see it multiple times today over the Coast, now you know.
Follow me, Sholla Ard, for more information to come.
Things just got awkward live on TV.
Opiyo Wandayi claimed they had agreed a deal with matatu operators to end the strike and even said there were no questions only for one of the matatu leaders to go live moments later and completely contradict him.
This is exactly the kind of courage Kenya needs.
Speak the truth publicly. Don’t let leaders rewrite reality while cameras are rolling.
I am deeply proud and honoured to start my tenure as Director-General/Executive Director of the UN Office at Vienna/@UNODC.
I look forward to leading the @UN’s work in addressing the challenges of drugs, organized crime, corruption and terrorism, for a safer and more just world.
