A9: I feel like we do one too many things at our school to make our work "fun". We have Secret Santa, parties, dress up days, special staff things... Sometimes I want to do my work and be done. I am modeling saying "no" on occasion. #wateachlead

A6. I am learning about parent volunteers this year because there are more volunteers available at my new school. To get settled, I have had to be firm about not having parent volunteers. Some parents pushed back at first but now we are starting to have volunteers. #WATeachLead

Good for you! I was part of our Music Ed Leadership Team downtown. It was one thing too many. I sent the email, "In the interest of self care, I am resignigning from this committee." I didn't apologize. They totally got it. #WATeachLead

A7: I've taken on the chair role of our PBIS Tier 2 team. It's mostly awesome. My admin is usually open to my reminders and leadership in that context. Usually. I think communication is always key: when something is missing, put it in. #WATeachLead
