@CTVOttMornLive Beef! Ground beef and a good rib steak have skyrocketed in price. Now I really look for a sale on meat. If there’s a good sale I buy in bulk then freeze!
@OttawaCitizen She will continue to play the victim! She is the biggest narcissist! She needed to go! Hopefully parents will have a voice now without her being a dictator
@CTVOttMornLive Thank goodness for air conditioning. We set it and forget. Keep the blinds closed throughout the day! And our favourite way of cooling off is ice cream!!!
@POTUS69_@ctvottawa You really believe highschool kids care?? No they don’t! It’s the lead foot drivers that endanger us all! The limit on that stretch should be lower than 80! Don’t like it? Then go ahead at your own speed

We’re expanding the Canadian Dental Care Plan. Starting today, Canadians aged 55-64 can apply. In the coming weeks, applications will open to Canadians aged 18-54.
Because of this plan, millions of people can now afford to see a dentist — some for the first time in decades. Soon, millions more will get that same care.
A man’s vehicle malfunctioned and burst into flames at Bank Street and Dun Skipper Road on April 24, 2025.
Responding to the call was Ottawa Police constable Omer Abdullah, who directed traffic while Ottawa Fire Department worked on putting the fire out.
To his surprise, the firefighter was Hani Dakwar, a friend he met in university back in 2007.
“We are actually both originally from Palestine,” Dakwar said. “Our families ended up in the same city in Lebanon as refugees. From there, both our families immigrated to Canada.”
“We instantly became good friends because we grew up in the same city and both moved to Ottawa.”
From studies to service, their paths still cross and the two first responders get to make a difference together in the same city.
The owner of the vehicle was in distress. Abdullah and Dakwar supported him through this scary situation, arranged transportation, organized a tow truck for his car and took care of the situation.
Thank you for your service.
