@MardelaSports Ava Twilley is named the 2025-26 Gatorade Maryland Softball Player of the Year. The senior right-handed pitcher led the Warriors to a 26-0 record, and a second straight Class 1A state title. Twilley had a 0.29 ERA, 208 KO's, allowing just 17 hits in 96 innings.

Mardela softball defeated Patuxent 10-0 on Friday to advance to play in the 1A State semifinals.

Ava Twilley twirled a competitive game no-hitter striking out 12 Panthers batters. Julia Wisk went 2 for 2 with 3 RBI including the walk off hit in the bottom of the 5th inning.
