Been trying to get the oldest to clean the bedroom for a while. Finally agreed today after a bout of tears (no punishment, just didn't want to clean lol) & asked for help. Ten minutes after we started, says: "..Yeah, I was in denial, but I REALLY needed to clean this." 😂

Youngest is trying out vitamins for help with focusing. So far we've tried two - one leaves an even keel! Very happy with it. The second one works in that it gives him the ability to multitask VERY FAST. Dancing like a mad person, and teacher shows a list and calls on him.

In middle school, an art teacher came once a /year/ to do watercolors with us. Fish, cats, one year a bear.. I was always SO EXCITED, but the lady seemed kind of grumpy and was never super engaging.
The local schools, from kindergarten thru 8th, have a permanent art teacher.

She sees each class once a week, and though distance learning is.. rather sad a good portion of the time, I'm still ridiculously impressed with her. The kids have done pixel art on their school laptops, they've made collages out of leaves, today she had them drawing comics

You haven't lived until a 6 year old tells you he's upset with you because you gave him a treat, which he then ate in it's entirety, and once gone decided WAIT, I WANTED TO SAVE THAT. WHY WOULD YOU LET ME EAT IT?!
Oh, I don't know, you asked if you could have it.. and I said yes.

By the time I was 6, I'd fallen down stairs and been bitten in the face by a dog (I still have scarring today!), I'd dislocated my shoulder twice, and my legs had been scraped up or scratched more times than I could count.

The boy was climbing in the front yard, & fell out of the tree. He has a mild, shallow scrape the length of my palm on his belly, no tears, though he groaned for a few minutes - and then said he'd never had a scrape before.
You know what, he actually hasn't?? 6! 6 and no scrapes!
