@maria_rcks PLEASE fix the Codex multi-account experience 😭
I use a lot of Codex accounts and I’m genuinely living in hell.

Switching accounts causes ownership/active-writer issues, and sometimes switching accounts mid-thread makes the chatbasically disappear and I have to start over. 💔

@theo This is EXACTLY what I’ve been experiencing.

The scary part isn’t that Astra can be bad. it’s how it can go from unbelievably bad to genuinely exceptional on the exact same task, same context, same references, with almost no new information.

@embirico this is the part I’d really love the Codex team to look at. It feels less like a capability problem and more like task-state / self-evaluation / follow-through reliability.

@thsottiaux @sama I think Astra has a serious reliability problem hiding behind an insanely capable model.

I’ve seen some of the best coding/design work I’ve ever gotten from an AI.. and, minutes later, failures that far weaker models rarely make.

That’s what makes this feel like a reliability / task-state / self-evaluation problem, not a raw intelligence problem.

Astra can be brilliant at local reasoning, then completely lose the global goal or accept a bad result as “finished.”

Curious if you’ve seen this same Astra variance / reliability issue. The capability is insane, but the floor is wild.

Please don’t “fix” this by making Astra more conservative or less capable.

The model’s high-end behavior is incredible.

What it needs is a higher floor: better intent retention, better self-checking, fewer premature stops, and much more reliable follow-through.

I’ve had it literally say that only 1 of 10 requested outputs was complete and the other 9 still needed generation… then end the turn.

I’ve also had it show old assets as “newly generated,” then immediately admit they were old when I asked “are you sure?”
