Officer lied about saying man had gun—no firearm ever found in van.

Calls to 911 just said to look out for "two Black guys."

Police were chasing and ramming their cars into the wrong man entire time.

John Jinuwine was 34 year old single white man—and just finished serving 6 years in the U.S. Navy.

He was not given any medical attention at the scene of the accident—after being hit in his arms and legs by 7 of the 27 total bullets fired.

An independent autopsy revealed that he was alive and could have survived the injuries to his extremities—if only he had received medical attention.

The family has now filed a federal wrongful death lawsuit against the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
