@WestMidsRailway so on a day when we are encouraged to use public transport you short-form to 2 carriages in the morning and skip stations in the evening. Passengers at Langley Green have a third of the trains that stop at Rowley Regis. Cancellations have much bigger impacts
Shout to @WestMidlandRail for cancelling any train from Langley Green to Birmingham that could get me to work on time, despite me leaving extra early in case one was cancelled. Cancelling two is genius. I couldn’t have predicted that move. Well done! Genius!
@WestMidRailway I completely appreciate that these things are probably outside of your personal control and these comments are not aimed at you personally, but the organisation. You have been very polite and professional in your responses, so thank you. I hope you have a good evening.
@WestMidRailway This only tells part of the story. Several trains were 2 coaches today.
Also, due to a current cost of living crisis, many of us are facing a supply issue of money for train fares. I assume it’s ok if we pay less too. Thanks for understanding.
@WestMidRailway That is only true if you can get on said servcoe, which is often not the case, particularly at Langley Green which is not serviced as well as Rowley Regis, despite us paying the same price. The delays then are an hour or more.
@WestMidRailway And where we used to spend £1, we now spend £2, which means less money for fares. I’m sure you can understand why we should pay less since you are providing less and we are having supply issues too.
@WestMidRailway That definitely sounds like a problem that you need to solve as a matter of urgency. Like I say, we generally have supply issues causing less money for fares as energy bills, food, and clothing have all gone up.
@WestMidRailway how do you justify increasing your prices whilst consistently short-forming trains? Short-forms are effectively a cancellation for those further down the line. I know your figures look better, but the reality is an hour or more wait at some less serviced stations.
@WestMidRailway are you aware than when you cancel trains from Langley Green, we have an hour between trains or do you just not care? Worse, the app was showing it as on time when I left the house or I’d have stayed home and had a coffee. Absolutely nothing works!
@WestMidRailway My comments are not aimed at you personally an, if it helps, I will be unable to comment any further as my fingers are going numb from standing in the cold for so long. Are busses accepting train tickets at least?
