What if “transgender” is not the root cause, but the visible symptom?
Pamela Garfield-Jaeger writes that real care means asking what pain, loneliness, trauma, social pressure, or unmet need may be hiding underneath.

BREAKING. Statutory schools guidance will come into effect this September with loopholes to allow boys into girls sports. Social transition even in primary school. No safeguarding consideration for other children when a child is in stealth.

@dshensmith
Safeguarding concerns are only for the child who is "living in stealth."
What about for the other children? What about the girls who do not consent to undressing in a changing room or playing sport against a boy?

@SexMattersOrg@nickwallis How about bias not bigoted
NC I am just going to put down a marker about the extent of the control over the language being used by the Intervenor in attempting to put their case
J please just use slightly less emotive language
NC this case is about the control of language so I
In Oct 2022 I beat a multiple world champion & my next opponent was a man with purple nail varnish. I sent this message shortly afterwards. I received no response. I was coerced by the policy to play against men 6 more times before I finally conceded in Nov 2023.
Transgender surgery is like the abandoned practice of frontal lobotomy, according to prominent US plastic surgeon Dr Scot Glasberg.
He suggested the argument for stopping under-19 trans surgery was the same for lobotomies—“there was no evidence to show that [these interventions] were of any benefit, and we were harming people in the process”.
He also cited the recent comprehensive Finnish registry study which found that the psychiatric needs of young people increased after gender medical treatment.
Dr Glasberg said this study was important because it highlighted the risk that “it actually could be worse for these children” after gender transition. “I thought, this is pretty telling.”
Dr Glasberg is a past president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons which earlier this year became the first major US medical association to adopt a policy advising against the gender medicalisation of adolescents.
He was speaking at a London conference on “Rethinking Youth Gender Medicine” hosted by the Society for Evidence-based Gender Medicine and the Clinical Advisory Network on Sex and Gender.

(2) Responding to the NMC’s decision, Jennifer Melle said:
“I am relieved and grateful that the NMC has finally recognised that there is no case for me to answer. But I should never have been put through this in the first place.
“I was a nurse doing my job in a pressured clinical situation. The issue of biological sex was directly relevant to patient care. I was not seeking to humiliate or hurt anyone. I was trying to communicate accurately and safely with another medical professional.
“Instead of being protected after suffering racist abuse, I found myself treated as the problem. I was suspended, investigated, threatened with the loss of my career and reported to my regulator as though my Christian beliefs and my recognition of biological reality made me dangerous.
“It has been devastating to be labelled a risk to the public for holding beliefs which are lawful, mainstream and central to my faith. Nurses should not have to choose between their conscience, the truth, and their profession.
“The NHS only dropped its disciplinary case after public and political pressure. Yet the NMC process continued hanging over me, and I was told even ministers could not intervene. That cannot be right.
“Regulators should protect patients from real harm, not punish nurses for holding Christian beliefs, speaking truthfully about biological sex, or raising serious concerns in the public interest.
“I spoke out because I believed what happened to me raised serious public interest concerns. I took care to protect the patient’s identity, and the NMC has now accepted that no confidentiality breach took place.
“I want to return fully to the work I love, serving patients with compassion and professionalism. But there must now be accountability.”

🚨Jennifer Melle has been completely vindicated as the NMC has now dropped all charges against her.
This is the right outcome, but how did it get to this point?
Why did it take 18 months for the NMC to realise she did NOTHING wrong?
Why did the NHS pursue an ideologically motivated witch-hunt against a hardworking nurse?
How many other nurses will suffer a similar fate for stating biological reality?
Why did it take a cross-party group of MPs, led by Kemi and myself, to challenge the NHS and NMC to save Jennifer’s livelihood?
Will anyone be held accountable for their failure?
We will not stop fighting for them and the countless other nurses being hounded for defending their rights.
'The 13-year-old [orphaned girl]took it upon herself to bravely complain to staff about being held with the male offenders, explicitly stating she was "not feeling safe, due to past bad experiences" and begged to be transferred to an empty houseblock on the campus.
"A British political party convened a formal hearing, took evidence, and produced a written finding against a 58-year-old woman for sarcasm. Not for harassment. Not for abuse. For declining to be solemn about another adult’s conviction that they are a fairy."
.@PaulKnaggs has written this fantastic article about my legal case against @TheGreenParty outlining how the party discriminates against women and why they will lose in court. Please read and share.
“out of 152 incidents of restraint applied to the 16 children held…127 of those incidents were applied to the only two girls in the facility.
One member of staff was also suspended & reported to police following reports of sexually abusing a child at the secure accommodation.”
There once was a girl
And she liked to climb trees.
She had dirt in her hair,
And blood on her knees.
Had no pink in her cupboard,
Didn’t like the right toys,
So they cut off her hair
And they called her a boy.
She fell into depression.
They tried to be kinder;
To help her fit in:
Crushed her breasts in a binder.
But it wasn’t enough
She felt awkward and weird,
So they pumped her with drugs
And they grew her a beard.
She couldn’t stand dresses,
She refused to wear bras,
So they cut off her breasts,
Celebrated her scars.
They stripped flesh off her arm
Made a fat tube of skin,
Sewed it onto her crotch,
And said: “Now you’re a him!”
He looked like a man,
But squeaky and little,
His hair falling out,
And his bones frail and brittle.
He suffered through menopause,
Atrophy, bleeding,
His new penis was limp
And lacked any feeling.
His parents agreed,
He would never give birth,
So they cut out his ovaries,
To spite all the TERFs.
He grew sadder, and sadder,
But could not find the answer,
His heartbeat grew weak,
And the drugs gave him cancer.
When crying one night,
His whole head in a whirl,
His mum asked: “what’s wrong?”
She said: “Mum, I’m a girl.”
Plaid Cymru — Wales's self-described progressive party — walked out of the Senedd rather than hear the law on women's rights read aloud. The left has some explaining to do about whose side it's actually on. https://t.co/YZkVjOLGV2
General Medical Council:
‘We are not able to guarantee that data we hold at present reflects [doctors’] birth sex, and nor will we be able to in the future’
While the government pushes early release of dangerous prisoners, IPP prisoners remain locked up indefinitely - for much more minor offences - on an abolished sentence 'to keep the public safe'. Probation triggers the recall of prisoners for trivial, anonymous, malicious allegations. This is so galling. And yet, the Labour minister reads out a brief full of misinformation - she should meet families at the MoJ protest on 15th July at 11am for FACTS, not double-speak.
