🚨Justice Department Sues Maryland Over Sanctuary Policies
“Federal immigration officers merely enforce the laws that our Nation’s elected representatives in Congress passed, reflecting the will of We the People,” said @ASGWoodward. “When sanctuary jurisdictions enact laws to shield illegal aliens from federal law enforcement, it is not merely federal law that is violated, but the voices of everyday American voters silenced. Today’s suit proves that this Department will never stand for such lawless action from blue state leaders.”

You guys are building the coolest things.
Every day, I’m getting emails with GitHub repo’s with tools you’ve made to track accountability in real life (see two INCREDIBLE examples below).
Some of you are building FOIA helpers, tracking agencies, public officials, court cases, contracts, legislation, and all the things that are technically public but somehow impossible to follow. I am obsessed with it, and I don’t think this should just be sitting in my inbox.
So I want to encourage everybody to start sharing this energy with each other over on the Drey Dossier subreddit. If you’ve built something (even if it’s messy, unfinished, hyper-specific, or made for your own weird little tracking obsession), please post a link on the thread I made over there titled ‘Drey Dossier Tracking Machines: Post What You’re Building’.
And here’s the fun part! At the beginning of my Tuesday live each week, before we get into the topic of the day, I will go through what people have made as a community show-and-tell.
We’ll click through what people are building, talk about what it does, what problem it solves, how others might use it, and how it might inspire someone else to build their own version. So if you haven’t already, join the r/Drey Dossier subreddit and show me what tools you’ve made to track this seemingly untraceable administration.

Cooper: I've seen governments and dictators rise and fall, people and places torn apart by lies and hate and war. And I've seen people do things and heard them say things that I could never have imagined. I've seen what we humans are capable of when everything else is stripped away. Yes, great acts of barbarism and brutality. But we are also capable of remarkable acts of heroism and kindness. It's a choice, and the choice is up to us
Let's hope 50 years from now, someone standing here or somewhere on the eve of the 300th anniversary of this republic will look back and say of us: they didn’t know if they would make it through but they did.
Did you know the department of energy deleted almost 6000 web pages on energy saving, all because they matched the advice Mamdani was giving in NYC?
It’s the world’s dumbest cult.
This is why people built guillotines.
GOP Rep. Troy Nehls, when asked about 60% of Americans struggling with affordability: "Affordability? What are you talking about?... I'm gonna get me a couple of big lobster tails. I'm gonna get me some nice rib eyes... Maybe the 60% of Americans don't work as hard as I do."
The first opinion is in Watson v. RNC, the mail-in ballot case. The court holds that nothing in the federal election-day statutes requires ballots to be received by Election Day in order to be counted.

So much for "The Prince of Peace," these people have turned him into hatred and vengeance.
A Microsoft Critical Environment Technician in Italy resigned because “Microsoft is massively expanding its European data centers (aka mass surveillance centers) to use Palestine as a laboratory for its experimental digital weaponry.”
He sent this in a mass email to thousands of colleagues protesting the company's ties to Israeli military surveillance, according to The Canary. The worker, identified only by a pseudonym, framed the move as part of the worker-led No Azure for Apartheid campaign.
The protest rests on a documented controversy. An investigation reported that Israel's Unit 8200 stored intercepted Palestinian phone calls on customized Azure infrastructure, and Microsoft, after first saying it found no evidence of civilian harm, later cut the unit's access to some Azure storage and AI services.
Microsoft has faced repeated internal revolts, firings, and event disruptions over its Israeli defense work, and the campaign now spans multiple countries, keeping pressure on how hyperscalers handle military and intelligence customers.
Why so many Ukrainians speak russian? Let me explain.
But first, let me ask you a question: Why do Irish and Scotts speak English, Catalans and Basques speak Spanish, Bretons speak French, etc. You probably know the short answer. But let me put a longer one. Ukrainian language was banned by russia 134 times! Here are most notable events:
1720: A decree by Tsar Peter I banned the printing of books in Ukraine.
1753: A decree by Catherine II prohibited teaching in the Ukrainian language.
1768: A decree from the Synod of the russian Orthodox Church called for the confiscation of Ukrainian primers from the population.
1775: Closure of Ukrainian schools after russian troops destroyed the Zaporizhian Sich.
1830-1840s: russification of Ukraine intensified. Even the very name "Ukraine" was prohibited to be used.
1889: At an archaeological congress in Kyiv, it was permitted to read papers "in all languages except Ukrainian."
1895: A ban on Ukrainian children's literature.
1914: A ban on the Ukrainian press.
1938: Mandatory study of the russian language was introduced throughout Ukraine. At the same time, there was a mass closure of national schools, and the prestige of the Ukrainian language declined.
1926-1939: Physical deportations of Ukrainian activists accused of nationalism. Four family members on my mother’s side were deported.
1929: Newly printed dictionary of Ukrainian was prohibited.
1960s: Arrests and extermination of the young generation of Ukrainian intelligentsia.
130 years ago, Ukrainian-speaking area was not limited by Ukraine, but also some parts of russia and Belarus spoke it (see the red area, that's the result of russian Empire census in 1897, when people identified themselves by the language). So, when someone says that some region of Ukraine is “russian speaking”, read the above list again. It’s a miracle that Ukrainian language even survived, and many people sacrificed their lives for it.
Have weather forecasts seemed less accurate lately? There's a major contributing factor: nearly half the morning weather balloons in the Lower 48 are "missing."
This is an ongoing crisis that is degrading critical severe weather forecasts that we all rely on. It's having real, tangible impacts on degrading forecast quality.
If you work in transportation, agriculture or commerce, this should matter to you.
Regardless of the causes, this negatively affects people of ALL political backgrounds. Weather affects everyone. And it's impacting ALL of us negatively.
We can't look at weather balloon data that doesn't exist. We can't pump nonexistent data into models. We can't rely as heavily on models that don't "know" what's happening above our heads.
This is especially concerning for severe weather forecasts. We can't go 18 hours without ascertaining how the atmosphere is layered, how much storm fuel has built up and if severe thunderstorms are going to erupt. The Storm Prediction Center has even acknowledged forecasting frustrations in at least one public bulletin.
As an atmospheric scientist myself, I can say firsthand – the forecasts I'm able to offer you are less accurate than they would otherwise be. I'm not able to predict severe weather with the confidence I normally would. That is extremely concerning.
The United States is "supposed" to launch balloons at 0Z and 12Z ideally – a.k.a. around 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Eastern time. That's not happening. Many sites, due to staffing issues stemming from broader political and organizational issues, have pushed to 18Z, or early afternoon. That's not helpful for morning severe weather forecasts. In other words, you get less lead time. Less advanced notice. Quicker ramp-ups and ramp-downs to the forecast.
We're not able to get jet stream, temperature, moisture or wind profiles of the atmosphere each morning like we otherwise would.
Moreover, the World Meteorological Organization encourages 12Z soundings; that data is shared via the Global Observing System (GOS) under the World Weather Watch (WWW). That's not happening.
MAHER: "Under Trump, you guys have two outcomes: either we win, or they cheated. That shit has to stop."
VANCE: “Here’s where I’m probably gonna lose you…”
MAHER: “That happened 8 minutes ago.”
VANCE: *Forced laughter*
He claims it was “rigged” only in 2020 because tech companies censored info… which is now Trump’s main strategy. (From @BlueGeorgia)
The situation is not as good as they want us to think... if i had to guess i'd say they are manipulating the markets to keep the prices low, without what oil would be at $150 already.
But how long can they do that ?
