@GrimKim I'm not saying Boots is a bad guy, or we shouldn't highlight a movie that is trying to bring topics like this to the forefront. However, it is important to note that artistic vision shouldn't blind someone to the reality of workers who you have direct control over.
@jeremysmiles@daveweigel Yeah, but as someone who worked on Boosters. Working the crew 14 and 15 hour days almost every day isn't exactly aligned with respecting the workers.
@dennisbhooper I think the chart might be misleading. It's listing "on location" shoot days. With studio lot infrastructure in LA, many of the shows brought there are budgeted to utilize that existing infrastructure and avoid going off lot to shoot as much as possible.
@DEADLINE You know what would have been good for the union workers on this job? Having competent producers, and others above the line to avoid day after day of 14+ hours of work.
@bluestein How they ever thought Athens could support production stages is amazing. Almost any crew working there would have to come from metro Atlanta, immediately increasing the cost of the labor significantly.
