I genuinely think we’re going to look back at this era of AI and wonder what the hell we were thinking. Millions of people are uploading private documents, sharing intimate conversations, and confessing things they’ve never told another human being. All to technology they barely understand, owned by companies they know almost nothing about.
It’s fascinating to me that as recently as 2015, most of us felt we lived in the greatest era in history, that things were only going to improve, and now despair has set in, climate disasters, the average IQ has fallen for the first time in a century. The world has broken irreparably.
Everyone is unemployed, broke, or hustling in a cringe way. 2026 is a bad vibe. The economy is going to shit and this is the first year it's really sinking in
I think I’ve just accepted that everything is going to get worse.
The internet is almost entirely slop now. Every platform is flooded with AI garbage, recycled opinions, fake engagement, manufactured outrage, and people desperately trying to monetize whatever little attention is left.
And it’s spreading into everything else. Movies, music, art, news, politics, even the way people talk to each other. Everything feels cheap and artificial. Nothing has any personality anymore.
I used to think people would eventually get sick of it. That there was only so much garbage we could tolerate before everyone collectively decided they’d had enough.
But I don’t think that’s going to happen.
People seem perfectly happy with it. Or maybe they’re not. Maybe everyone hates it and we’ve just collectively accepted that this is what life is now.
That’s probably the most depressing part. Nobody even expects anything to be good anymore. We just expect it to exist, be immediately available, and give us something to look at until the next thing comes along.
And I’m no different. I complain about it, then spend hours scrolling through the exact same garbage.
I don’t really have a point to make anymore. There’s no solution I’m building toward here. I’m not going to tell anyone to go outside, delete their apps, or reconnect with humanity. We’ve all heard that a thousand times.
I just miss when things felt like they were made by someone who actually gave a shit.
I don’t even think we’re heading toward some dystopian future anymore.
I think we’re already living in a really boring one.
And apparently this is good enough for everyone.
What an absolute waste of a decade. Imagine where we’d be if we had spent this time building a more equitable society. Instead everything is more expensive, you can smell the hate in the air, and people with Masters Degrees are struggling while the worst people on earth are making themselves richer. And I can’t think of one person in my life who supported this or didn’t who is actually doing better as a result of it. A decade of pure misery for no good reason.
It's hilarious knowing that I become more productive whenever I get to step outside my home. The way I could only be able to do tasks is whenever I feel like it, and it's even more spontaneous than I thought I already have.
so it turns out that leaving your house actually DOES make you feel a little better, even if it’s just to go go the library and to pick up some cat food 😧

A message to all the Non-Indians who are unaware
India is under a massive crackdown by our fascist govt against regular citizens who are demanding basic rights. Forces have been deployed to terrorise civilians for no reason. We are in a state of emergency.
Pray for us

I miss the world before AI SOOOO much. I think the release of AI is another collective trauma like COVID. It's been too fast, too soon and too available.
I have AI fatigue and I hate to question all I see and read online + worrying about it going rogue and well, destroying humanity.
I wish it was never invented.
Dad said that he finds AI music sucks, then proceed to open up his playlist of like the 10 same boomer eurodance songs he's been annoying me with nonstop for the last 20 years of my existence and I highly respect that.
The Philippines’ BPO industry, with nearly $42 billion in annual revenue, is among the most at risk from the onslaught of AI. (Yes, it’s still AI for me.)
