@fifimcfae One underappreciated downside to unsafe streets in car insurance rate. The rates we pay inside the city is twice what people are paying in the suburbs. Car drivers in the city should be demanding more slow-zones and safe infrastructure to lower their premiums.
@GovernorShapiro You are going to reduce traffic by expanding the highway? Do you have anyone on your staff who knows anything about transportation engineering? FUND SEPTA!
@GovernorShapiro Extremely dumb use of taxpayer money. Is the climate crisis at all part of your decision making? What about the lungs of children who live in Philly?
@JohnnyWalsh__@DPearsonPHL@harrisonfinberg Of course they won't. The point is there are strategies on the revenue side that are both fair and efficient... even if we don't have the wealth of a San Fransisco or NYC.
@JohnnyWalsh__@DPearsonPHL@harrisonfinberg Point taken. But there might be some efficiencies to be gained property tax which are relatively low and don't incentivize the smart growth (single family home v. density)
@JohnnyWalsh__ Met Rabb. Doesn't impress but he is the clear choice. We can't have the machine candidate there for 30 years. That will set Philly back.
@ExecutiveRafe@mindyisser Is it "welcome to the modern world" or is it that its always been like this and its not new? I'm not a logician but those two things cannot both be true
