@Benderxxx7 This is exactly why I have such a problem with the adult entertainment industry. We spend so much time talking about the money and the fame, but barely enough time talking about how the women are recruited…
@kangminlee A man who wants to lead should understand that leadership comes with responsibility, not entitlement. You can’t demand respect from a woman while treating her opinions like they’re irrelevant. A relationship is a partnership, not a dictatorship...
@Ian_San254 I think self-control is one of the most underrated qualities in a man. Especially when we’ve created a culture where giving in to every desire is treated like it’s completely normal. Being able to say no to yourself, even when nobody’s watching, says a lot about your character.
@be_evolved1 And yet we’ve somehow convinced an entire generation that consuming explicit content is completely normal and harmless. I genuinely think we’re going to look back at how normalized this industry became and question why we ignored so many of the consequences.
@people This is why I think influencer culture needs more accountability. Having a beautiful online image doesn’t tell us how someone treats people behind the scenes. These allegations are serious, and both the employees’ accounts and her response deserve proper scrutiny.
I’m sorry but when did we decide that making millions automatically makes something empowering?
You can call OnlyFans a business all you want. That doesn’t mean it’s good for women, men, relationships or society.
Not everything that makes money deserves to be celebrated.
@destinywarroom Completely agree. I genuinely don’t understand why we’ve normalized an industry that can have such damaging effects on how people view intimacy, relationships, and even other human beings.
@clavion95 There’s something really uncomfortable about a woman being taken to a plastic surgeon and everyone treating it like some exciting glow-up. What happened to letting women be comfortable with how they already look?
@jackneel WHAT!? the idea that women would become “obsolete” if men no longer needed us for reproduction says a lot about how ANDRE WILSON views women!?!? We’re human beings, not just a reproductive function. And I think it’s genuinely disturbing that this even needs to be said….
@FreedomOnX89 I completely agree. And I think one of the biggest problems is how normalized the adult entertainment industry has become. We’re constantly told it’s harmless, but we rarely talk about what it does to relationships, how we view other people, and our relationship with God.
So apparently Rhode’s Glazing Milk went from 65mL to 50mL, but the price stayed at $35 AUD? That’s 23% less product for the same price. I’m sorry, but why are we becoming so comfortable with brands giving us less and charging us the same? @SkincareRhode
Two adult-content services are now under investigation in the UK over protections against intimate images being shared without consent.
We keep hearing about empowerment and freedom, but what about accountability?
This industry deserves FAR more scrutiny.
@Ian_San254 I genuinely respect men who recognize how damaging this habit can become and make the decision to walk away from it. It takes discipline, especially when explicit content is so normalized. I’ve talked about this on my page
@Tectone I actually agree that shutting down OnlyFans would be a positive step. But I don’t think we need to degrade the women involved to make that argument. My issue is with an industry that profits from lust and sells objectification as empowerment. I’ve talked about this on my page
@9mmsmg@elonmusk I actually hope Elon does this. I think OnlyFans has been incredibly damaging to society, especially the way it’s normalized lust and encouraged young women to see selling access to their bodies as empowerment. I’ve spoken about this on my page.
@RayaanL84@FemcelYearner@thuletide_ I agree that intimacy matters in a marriage, but I don’t think we should ever make women feel responsible for men’s decisions to watch explicit content. Nobody owes their partner sex, and nobody gets a free pass to betray their partner’s trust. I’ve talked about this on my page
@nordicmodelnow This is exactly why I keep speaking about this on my page. We’re raising girls in a culture where being desired, objectified and eventually monetizing that attention is increasingly presented as empowerment.
@Khobby_Dess@b0yaviator Exactly. Just because someone is making money from being objectified doesn’t automatically make it empowering. And I think we’ve become far too comfortable selling this lifestyle to young women as success. I’ve spoken about this on my page as well
@SIGMAPROFESSOR I agree that we’ve rebranded something deeply concerning as female empowerment. But calling women stupid completely misses the point. We should be questioning the industry, the men creating the demand, and the culture encouraging young women to see this as success.
