more than anything i hate artists like diljit who publicly denounce politics saying "main to artist hun" and yet use the aesthetics of politics for their profits. why do films like Chamkila, MVA, Punjab 95, etc that are so outwardly political. hate such people!
this is peak class solidarity. if she is taking measures for the environment, it is because she has the privilege to do so. and there is absolutely no environmental justice without class consciousness. if she is the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) Goodwill Ambassador for India, then it is non-negotiable to understand the intersectionality of class and caste for environmental justice. nobody is attacking the child. but "standing up" to a working-class delivery boy and feeling proud is bullshit, especially when he has nothing to do with the plastic.
and honestly, actors are not gods. if you want to find excuses to not speak up, then do that. activists and students and regular citizens of this country face far worse consequences for speaking up and do not have the privilege actors have to go silent or deal with it financially.
So, @raghav_chadha met a host of YouTubers, Instagram influencers, and people who frequently appear in scripted interviews posing as members of the audience. Many of them are known for running paid content and vox-pop videos that target Muslims and Dalits. One glance at their social media accounts will tell you the content they run.
How many of them can you recognise?
Jains make up 0.4 % of Indian population, but almost every transport authority; railways and airlines has Jain options… and the same assholes are here crying about exceptions for eggs??? wtf do y”all get this superiority complex from???
I don’t claim to know everything bro… so educate me if I am wrong. But I don’t see atrocities of ‘women’ on ‘men’ at all. I see some horrible incidents of sociopathic human beings who happen to be women, committing horrible crimes. On the other hand… I see a self sustaining system that has lasted centuries that suffocates women… that through invisible, everyday micro aggressions, forces them to shrink their identities. That doesn’t offer them an equal world. This is from my perspective. I’ve seen so many women around me suffer silently because of it. And I chose to convey that through this story. I felt responsible for it as a man… because I benefit from the power equation.
I haven’t read the details of this particular case yet… I will do so. And if there’s a story that I find interesting to tell… I will do that too. But it would be about one particular woman committing a crime. Not crimes of women on men. There’s a difference, the way I see it. Mind you, such incidents of crime are ghastly and terrible. But what I was trying to do is completely different. Had nothing to do with such crimes.
Vikram in The Girlfriend isn’t a murderer or a *^%ist. There is no physical abuse. He is in fact faithful. And yet… there’s one section like the original tweet that gets triggered by the film. Ask yourself why that is. But sure… if you or anyone else has a problem… call it out. It’s a healthy habit. I promise to take the feedback and introspect. It’s wonderful for all of us to talk to each other and try to understand each other.
SERIOUS QUESTION: You don’t find it weird that not a single billionaire wants to end world poverty ?? Doesn’t it strike you as bizarre that no one with that kind of wealth wants to be the hero who actually solves the world’s biggest problems when they literally could ?? Isn’t that suspicious ??
I'm sorry but I refuse to pander to MRAs of all people. That's an unparalleled low in my opinion. I won't rush to loudly reaffirm that a woman, when found guilty of a crime, should be punished. It's my basic expectation from the rule of law.
But the performative anxiety and all the virtue signalling I see when any crime committed by a woman comes to light says a great deal about whose suffering is considered ordinary and whose suffering invokes moral panic of the highest order.
One thing I’ve noticed is that we remember the culprit’s name when the crime is against a man, be it Nikita, Sonam, or now Siya. But when it’s against a woman, be it Nirbhaya (Jyoti), Jessica, or Twisha, I don’t even know the criminal’s name, only the victim’s.
i sympathise with the family of course and hold enormous rage against the corrupted regime but i feel so mad at such videos because you as a parent are supposed to comfort your daughter through such a difficult time. like this is not the time to make it about you, comfort her!!!
A heartbreaking scene from Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh. 💔 At the Girls' College Re-NEET examination centre, three students missed their chance to appear for the exam due to a slight delay, biometric issues, and an admit card mistake. Behind every aspirant stood parents carrying years of hopes, sacrifices, and dreams—making the moment even more emotional.

I saw a post on Reddit that said that “The underlying purpose of AI is to allow wealth to access skill while removing from the skilled the ability to access wealth.” And I don’t think I’ve ever seen AI described so incisively.
THIS . like you cant NOT be depressed in India. ' go get some fresh air will feel better'. GO WHERE? there's no public/walkable spaces/parks, more potholes than roads, air is unbreathable, heat is killing, every 10 steps there's trash or open sewers. we live in concrete jungles
