The internet and social media amplified it in recent years, but the advent of AI is taking it to a level we never imagined.

I’ve seen many people I know regurgitate falsehoods..

because they saw them online, and therefore assumed they must be true.

Beyond outright misinformation are half-truths. Statements that deliberately present a one-sided version of a situation, despite the person clearly knowing the full context, in order to push an agenda.
