@Robt_VC@AngieCraigMN The series “Life on Our Planet,” episode three, describes a time 252 millions years ago when Earth had a period of CO2 six times what it is today. The land was almost entirely desert and very little life survived on land and in the oceans. That was 10 degrees C warmer than today.
@hillengmn@AngieCraigMN The one we had for the last eight thousand years, ending in 1980, that allowed humans to thrive. Now, we don’t know what will happen within a single lifetime.
@bryanhansel @ErinMayeQuade Hi Bryan, There are convention rules in the public DFL Constitution that offer many options. She did not have to be present, did not have to withdraw, and did not request a postponement. She alone made the choices for how this went, as it should be.
@claydumas I know. When I was graduating and interviewed at Lawrence Livermore Labs to work on the fusion experiment, it was only twenty years away from commercial deployment. I retired two years ago, so fusion MUST be ready now!
The most underrated climate tech is fusion. I keep hearing "it's decades off, won't be as cheap as solar, we just don't need it." It's closer than you think. And when it arrives, limitless, CO2-free, around-the-clock power will be a step function improvement for civilization.
@deshondaniel@AVHSforensics I presume you are the speech coach named in the Dakota County Tribune story in the 7/3/2020 issue. I’m wondering if any of the four tournament finalists would be interested in being a guest speaker at a joint online Toastmasters meeting?
Superb news @XcelEnergyMN customers: very low cost #wind will save $1.599 billion on customer bills and cut #carbon#actonclimate https://t.co/4TPqp2lf8R
