My biggest #HobbyBrag ever. I’ve had this in a case for 30 years. Pulled it from a pack as a 6th grader. Sent it into PSA a few weeks ago… got it back today… I’m shaking. #TheHobby@CardPurchaser
I went in to the shop today with the mindset that I was going to splurge on a box for the first time in a long time. I didn’t put any restrictions on myself. They had a lot of boxes. I bought $225 in singles and left. Cheaper than any box they had on the shelf. Hank Aaron, Roy Campanella, and Ernie Banks among the vintage I got. But I do like the excitement of ripping. Just can’t justify it. It’s not the budget, it’s the product value. Just crazy.
The sports card hobby continues to value potential over everything.
On the same night a Kon Knueppel card sold for $396,500, two of the best created for Kawhi Leonard ($56k) and Russell Westbrook ($33k) combined for less than $90k.
If Auburn beats Tennessee in Nashville today, we may be potentially in line for what our beautiful sport so desperately deserves:
A standalone game between Auburn and Miami (OH) next week in the First Four in Dayton.
