@rhinoboy79@Evening_Tele@VADundee@DundeeCouncil So - they opening at 3 a m to avoid this? I don't think so. Some strongly worded advice to leave the car behind if you can possibly do without might have been wise. They do actually have buses and trains in Dundee.
@StopLying99@juvehearts@BBCScotlandNews As long as the tram and bus run at convenient times you should be able to bring on board reasonably large items. Both services are equipped with luggage racks and have level boarding with the pavement or platform.
@juvehearts@Greent1875@BBCScotlandNews@EdinburghTrams Probably due to the fact that the depot is fairly close to the airport which results in having to send early trams towards Newhaven to then come back plus the airport bus has a night service running as well.
@NoContextBrits No idea. If you tried that in mainland Europe you'd at least be tutted at or worse, fined a load of cash. No eating or drinking inside metros / tubes / buses. Been the rule there for decades.
@EdinburghLive_ Traffic running more freely because there were fewer cars. However there were more buses. Lots of buses aren't an issue as they tend to move forward at roughly the same speed. When cars are added into the mix it becomes a different story.
@Anon_Panda27 @the_transit_guy What? That doesn't happen near me. People like that can't possibly get on board. Journeys by our public transport can be quite pleasant and even stylish.
@pdavisjones@the_transit_guy So do we but we still use trains and buses as appropriate. Quite often the bus and train are just as fast as the car where I live, give or take about 10 minutes. We have plenty alternatives to driving and don't start about smelly passengers or vagrants . We don't have those.
