@AM_Beardsley Krista and I were walking in Oklahoma one time and ran into a nest of baby ties--we were covered with hundreds. I think we ended up having to use like lice shampoo and taking an anti-biotic just in case of lime disease. We just kept finding them.

Also interesting to note that I'm the eighth professor that started my exact year at OU (that I personally know) to leave recently (many have left academia entirely even after getting tenure--I was planning to as well). Don't know what those numbers say.

Don't know if I've said it on here, but I've accepted a job as business communication faculty at UW Madison. The amount of coincidence and luck to get this position, which pays more, is less work, and is only a 40 minute commute our house in IL is astounding. Really excited.
