Bromantane is one of the few nootropics I'd call Life Changing

Forever in my arsenal of performance-enhancing tools

May or may not be on it right now 😉

Bromantane gives me a huge boost in focus and creativity without feeling jittery or "geeked"

The following post is for educational/entertainment purposes only

Nootropic enthusiasts on r/nootropics and similar communities tend to report the following effects:

- Reduced anxiety
- Increased focus & motivation
- Euphoric feeling
- Increased confidence
- Increased wakefulness
- Improved cognition, analytical skills, and memory
- Enhanced appreciation for music and tactile sensations

Bromantane is yet another gem developed by Russian scientists in the 80s, bromantane acts as both a stimulant and an anxiolytic

But the best part? It does so in a sustainable way

Bromantane is thought to increase Dopamine, Serotonin, and GABA signaling through novel means

Classic stimulants like Adderall deplete your dopamine and downregulate your receptors because they cause you to release and retain more extrasynaptic dopamine

Bromantane's primary MOAs seem to be: upregulation of the Tyrosine Hydroxylase that produces dopamine, inhibition of monoamine reuptake, and positive allosteric modulation of GABA receptors

Although, this is still a *theory* and the pharmacology of Bromantane is not well understood, despite being prescribed in Russia and surrounding countries

Because of its unique pharmacology, there are no reports of bromantane causing tolerance, withdrawal, or addiction

There are, however, reports of bromantane causing a reverse tolerance - where the amount needed to feel an effect is lessened over time

This is probably due to the TH upregulation, but there could be other factors at play

Dose:

Based on personal experience and anecdotes:

Bromantane seems to have a cumulative effect, meaning it takes days / weeks to reach the full effect

Common dosages are 25 to 100mg sublingual, meaning the powder is left to dissolve under the tongue

A milligram scale is absolutely necessary as powder density can vary

Again, this is entertainment/educational information, not medical advice

Toxicity:

The LD50 in mice is thought to be 8100mg/kg, which typically can be estimated to be 45.36 mg/kg in humans using an allometric scaling formula

This means an 80-kilo man would likely have to consume over 3.6 GRAMS to have a lethal overdose, but again this is just an estimation and the real LD50 in humans could be much different

Side effects:

There haven't been many side effects reported, but one headache, vasoconstriction, dehydration, increased blood pressure, and teeth grinding can be a concern at higher dosages or if paired with other simulants like caffeine

Serotonin syndrome may also be a concern for those on SSRIs, MAOIs, or other serotonergic drugs since bromantane is thought to increase extrasynaptic serotonin levels

At the end of the day, this is an experimental compound and there could be more side effects/long-term effects that simply haven't been discovered yet

I don't endorse bromantane or using any compound other than the ones your doctor tells you to use.
