Is it too soon to talk about how this isn’t even a Grammy issue but a problem with how white people in particular have centered themselves on the world stage of music and convinced everyone that their specific opinions on music are most important?

i dont think y’all realize how fucking cool it is to just openly announce you are not submitting for the grammys because of their mistreatment. it takes a lot to have that kind of courage. they said FUCK that racist organization. BTS are truly the most inspiring artists ever
for bts not to submit one of their biggest albums to the grammys this year is huge and i respect them for that. so much was poured into arirang and its message and i feel like it wouldn’t sit right with bts at all especially with the new category the grammys put out

because that’s how yg marketed them. anyone who was here in 2018/19 remembers yg pushing them as bts’ competition/female counterpart because they had just started promoting in the west after bts opened those doors for them. they even had bts in their spotify and am descriptions.
