85 years ago today, on August 29, 1941, The Little Foxes, starring Bette Davis, Herbert Marshall and Teresa Wright, was released in the U.S.
Did You Know? To get Bette Davis for The Little Foxes, producer Samuel Goldwyn essentially traded stars with Warner Bros., lending them Gary Cooper in exchange for Davis. Warner Bros. put Cooper in Sergeant York — and he won the Best Actor Oscar for it!
