Also gaining recognition are Will Otto and Nathan Ragner. Otto placed 12th overall and was awarded with All Conference Honors. Ragner placed 17th and received All Conference Honorable Mentions.
Big congrats to Luke Maas who was awarded as the WCC West Conference individual medalist. Luke’s performances led the Royals to a 2nd place finish as a team.
Last night, WM senior golfers Luke Maas and Katelyn Leuthner were recognized for their academic and co-curricular accomplishments. We want to celebrate their involvement in clubs and activities such as Math League, NHS, Business, Supermileage, and more.
At the section preview, both Luke Maas and Katelyn Leuthner received medals for top 5 finishes. Katelyn shot a personal best 86 while Luke placed 4th with a 74.
Boys varsity kicked off last week at Timber Creek followed by Glencoe GC on Monday. The team shot a 329 in the windy conditions. Will Otto and Luke Maas received medalist honors at TC. The team finished in 2nd at both with contributing scores from Teddy Lohmann and Nathan Ragner.
The Royals finished the week at Pebble Creek at the section preview. The team finished in fifth place with Jack Frank helping with a 90 and Jacob Rowan 98.
The royals were led by seniors Luke Maas and Katelyn Leuthner. After 2 meets, Luke and Katelyn are placed in the top 3 individually. Both teams will be back in action tomorrow with a doubleheader at Litchfield and Little Crow.
Yesterday the boys golf team finished T-1st and 2nd in their doubleheader out at Albion Ridges. Both the boys and girls are off to a strong start this season after their first pair of meets.
