@SandiLSimpson85 Flying the flag for practitioner research!

[Sandra Simpson🇯🇲 @SandiLSimpson85]

I presented at the Joint University Social Work Association Conference last week Friday. More importantly, I heard so many fantastic speakers across the 2 days and learnt loads. Plenty of pracademics about too which was encouraging.

Fantastic to see this new award celebrating the contribution of practitioner-researchers (and many thanks to @wmadass for sponsoring!) Additional shout out to the work of @WMadassresearch

We need to think carefully about the language we use in health and care, says @clentonF. #NTSUmmit

‘If you’re not around the table you are often on the menu’. So we must genuinely involve those often still on the fringes of integrated care discussions.

Over the next few weeks we will familiarise ourselves with the focus group discussion transcripts, develop codes & themes. The research to do list is a lot bigger than this but breaking down big tasks into small tasks gives you a better sense of achievement & focuses the mind.

[WMadassresearchchampions @WMadassresearch]

We have finally finished collecting our data. The focus group discussions we had with people who use adult social care including carers were phenomenal! The discussions we had with adult social care workers were invaluable!Thank you all so much for your time & contributions.
