Our new preprint is up! This is the main postdoc work of Theresa Wiesner, focusing on exocytosis along the axon shaft and its regulation by the submembrane actin-spectrin scaffold: https://t.co/mL4ChJ2y0f
Read the thread below for a summary of our findings 🧵1/11
Happy to share this article with my views on @EliSlenders and @VicidominiLab work and discussing current developments in single-molecule localization combining structured excitation and detection. So many exciting perspectives in the field!

🚨🔬✨Mark your calendars! Thrilled to announce the 13th Single Molecule Localization Microscopy Symposium (#SMLMS2024), taking place 28-30 Aug 2024 in Lisbon & Oeiras 🇵🇹. Stay tuned for details, and looking forward to seeing you there! Location is 😍. @HenriquesLab @MicrobeMatos
Who says optical tables need legs? Check out our new suspension-based damping technique for ultra-stable interferometric localization microscopy. Preprint coming soon 😉 #so_glad_its_not_raining@StefanHellLabs
Thanks to @BruggemanEzra @JSCBeckwith @samofmidworld for organizing an exciting Day 1 of the Cambridge Microscopy meeting! Great job bringing researchers together 👌🏻. Love the buttons :) #CMM2023
@WiegandAxel@christlet@mpi_nat This may have happened in Boston 😉. When I started my Ph.D. in Xiaowei’s group the current state of the art was intensified CCD cameras, and when Andor introduced EMCCDs single molecule imaging became much more sensitive. Great times 🤓
Our mesoscopic oblique plane microscope is online:

It enables rapid volumetric imaging of a whole zebrafish embryo with ~2.3 micron lateral resolution.
This is enabled by merging a couple of optical innovations and tricks. 1/N
Fantastic practical workshop on single molecule imaging with event-based camera detectors - lots of new ideas to discuss later 😉 @ClementCabriel@IzeddinResearch#MiFoBio2023
