@fasc1nate I'm sure it took a lot of planning and preparation in advance of the installation to make that happen over a weekend. The tunnel section was waiting before the dig started. Not like the project started and finished on the weekend. Still, VERY impressive
@fatsculler How about that 'girl' who did the math for orbital mechanics for the Gemini launches - one of the astronauts wouldn't go unless she confirmed the calculations that the IBM machine worked out.. I'd say that's pretty 'superior'...
@fatsculler Yup, as others have noted, it's the Head of the Gorge, Victoria BC, Canada. I raced it in 1980 in Novice 8+. Been going almost every non-covid year since before 1980 with few problems. Low tide: barely room for 8+ and oars. If you can't row up the tide, portage around the gorge.
