I’ve never seen a jersey co-retired, but #5 for @Vol_Hoops deserves to be in the rafters 2 times over. @admiralelite15 and Chris Lofton were both program changers. I’m sure neither would mind sharing the honor. Both team guys who committed to UT in rough times and made it great.

Much better half for @Vol_Hoops. Rick Barnes saw that he couldn’t go small in the Kentucky game, so no surprise to see more Walker and Fulkerson today. The benefactor has been Schofield, who has drawn smaller defenders to shoot that mid ranger over.

@Jon__Reed Coming into the game, 2-guard is where Tennessee has its biggest matchup advantage. Getting nothing from Turner and Bowden sealed the deal.

The key for @Vol_Hoops is that they put themselves in position where they could afford this loss. They’re not the first team to lose at Rupp and won’t be the last. Everything is out in front of them, but they can’t take this upcoming tough stretch for granted. This was 1 game.

While @Vol_Hoops would love to have their best offensive lineup (Bone, Turner, Bowden, Admiral, Grant), it became apparent just how important Kyle Alexander is when he got in foul trouble. He, Fulkerson, and/or Derrick Walker have to be ready to defend P.J. Washington and co.

Disappointing effort from @Vol_Hoops tonight. Their biggest matchup advantage was at 2-guard and Turner and Bowden went 3-18 for 7 points. As has been the case on a few occasions this year, UT struggled dealing with size as well.

Hardenesque here from @igotgame_12 Selling fouls is part of the nba game whether you like it or not, especially in the age of the friendly continuation calls. Sensing contact and going up quickly is a large part of how Harden became the MVP.

Another example of @igotgame_12’s unique skill set here. This is a scorer’s drive, but you simply can’t help on him because of his vision. The SECOND the help comes, he drops a dime to the guy the helper left.

Getting my first look at @igotgame_12 tonight for @murraystateuniv. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen a guy who has potential to be an NBA All-star at the 1 or the 2. Excellent floor vision and moves defenders around with fakes, yet has a pure scorer’s mentality at the same time.

Given that you can only attempt an “onside” 4th and 12 when down 17+ or in the last 5 minutes, will we see a team that is down 17 intentionally miss their 2-point conversion to preserve this option? #thealliance
