⏪ #OTD in ‘96. I was at this match. Chelsea 2 - #Wimbledon 2. FA Cup 5th round at Stamford Bridge. Joe Kinnear’s Crazy Gang liked to upset the applecart. What a TEAM we had back then. Goals came from Robbie Earle and Dean Holdsworth. We lost in the replay but the spirit was 💯%

@AFCWimbledon I wore her football shirt and scarf at the match. Felt her presence in every way. This August marks 10 years since her passing after she’d suffered a fatal stroke 2 years prior. Mum would be so chuffed we’re back at Plough Lane. So thank you @AFCWimbledon. Proud to be a Womble 👏🏾

1/2 Happy 60th Birthday today to arguably the greatest Wimbledon player of all time. He’s my number 1 Footballing idol. Scored plenty of vital goals for The Crazy Gang against the likes of Arsenal. Chelsea. Spurs. Crystal Palace. Newcastle United. Liverpool ( to name just a few )
