Just a topic suggestion, but I think an expansion in Australia/APAC will be the most likely story coming in the next 3 months. Not in terms of a customer announcement, but land/power acquisition and the “capacity multiples” they’ve referenced several times. Australia is a natural fit for the same playbook that built West Texas (cheap land, renewables) but also, obviously, because it’s their founding country. Local grid relationships, regulatory familiarity, and political access that a foreign entrant building in APAC wouldn’t have.
@Lazarus_Capital The point is, when $IREN execs know the transition from BTC mining to AI Cloud will continue to reflect negatively in earnings releases, why make it harder for yourself by raising guidance when they don’t need to
@bitcoinbutcher1@FransBakker9812@McnallieM@franklee6924T@jiahanjimliu Curious your thoughts on this. In this August 2025 earnings call, Dan Roberts seemed to dismiss the need for a software orchestration layer. How do you square his statements with the recent 1/2 billion $ purchase of Mirantis? Large anchor customer demanded a software layer? Or a pivot towards non-hyperscale enterprise customers who need that software layer. Or something else…?
@CABeyney@ilzmcfly@FransBakker9812@B__Digs Why even build a data center in a city anyway? Aren’t there better options in rural areas with less community pushback and more available renewables?
Excited to welcome Chris and the Awaken team to IREN.
From IREN's perspective, this was a unique opportunity to bring a proven marketing team in-house, structured as a talent acquisition with no transaction consideration outside of standard employment agreements.
Looking forward to continuing to build a brand that matches the scale of what we are creating - one that supports customer growth, community relationships and the social licence that matters as we continue to expand into new markets.
This is an acquisition/hiring of key people already embedded in the company’s strategy. Instead of headhunting and recruiting a bunch of disjointed marketing people unfamiliar with IREN’s business, they get proven partners. I assume they tried to poach Chris Parker, and Parker’s condition for joining IREN was that they buy his company out.
@TalkinBaseball_ A batted ball is fair if any part of the ball is on or over fair territory. The whole ball doesn’t need to touch the line; the bulge/curvature hanging over fair territory makes it fair.

@MarkZinno@MLB The rule is that the bulge of the ball (even if it’s not physically touching the foul line) marks whether it’s fair or foul. It looks like the budge is over the line here
