Merry Christmas everyone. But more than that I hope you have a Blessed Christmas. And if you want to know what that means there’s probably not a better source than Linus. He explained it to Charlie Brown almost 60 years ago in a Christmas Special that has become an American favorite.
In 1965 it was extremely daring to have Linus recite from the Bible on prime time television. It probably wouldn’t even happen today and the network executives did not want it as part of the show then. But Charles Schultz, the creator of Peanuts, was a strong Christian man and he wouldn’t back down.

Schultz’s conviction resulted not only in Charlie Brown learning the true meaning of Christmas but in Luke Chapter 2 being heard by millions of people every year at Christmas time.

Ella Cook was just 19 years old—a Conservative, a Christian, and Vice President of the Republican Club at Brown University.

She was brutally killed by a shooter in what appears to be a targeted political attack.

If you still don’t see what’s happening, you haven’t been paying attention.

Just this year alone:

- Two National Guard troops shot in DC
- The seditious six Democrats claiming President Trump telling the military to not follow orders
- Jay Jones openly fantasizing about murdering Republicans and their children wins election in Virginia
- President Trump experiencing two assassination attempts
- Charlie Kirk assassinated on live TV, the left celebrated
- Attacks on ICE officers have skyrocketed over 1000%
- LA Riots and terror attacks
- Leftist sniper murders three at ICE facility in Texas
- Massive violent riots at ICE facility in Broadview, Illinois and Portland Oregon
- Annunciation Catholic Church children shot while praying by left wing Trump-hating transgender activist
- ABC News stations shot up
- Alina Habba attacked
- Ed Martin Attacked
- Rogue judges releasing career criminals back onto the streets, terrorizing Americans

The left’s violent rhetoric has turned into nationwide violence. If we don’t crush this threat now, we lose everything. It’s only escalating.

On September 9, 2017, Tyler Hilinski was on top of the world—leading Washington State to a thrilling triple-overtime win over Boise State in front of a packed stadium.

But just four months later, on January 16, 2018, Tyler passed away due to suicide.

Tyler was my teammate, and his loss struck my teammates and me to the core. He was an amazing young man, full of life and “bubbly” to anyone who knew him.

After his death, I carried guilt with me for a long time. Before Tyler’s passing, he was my backup quarterback. That meant I saw him as competition and, because of that, I didn’t fully open up to him—or let him or the other quarterbacks in.

I often caught myself thinking, “I could have treated him better.” or “How did I not see it?”

Through his loss, two truths became clear to me:

1. Sports and life are about people first. Whoever you see as competition is still human, just like you. You never know what someone else is going through. Follow the Golden Rule: treat others the way you want to be treated.

2. It’s okay to ask for help. In fact, it’s strength—not weakness.

Tyler’s parents, Mark and Kym, turned their grief into purpose by creating @HilinskisHope, a nonprofit dedicated to ending the stigma around mental health and providing athletes with the resources they need.

They’ve done remarkable work—so much so that the first full week of October is now recognized as Student-Athlete Mental Health Week. This year, it runs October 4–11, with hundreds of colleges participating. If you watch college football this week, you’ll see their sticker on helmets nationwide.

This year, I am humbled and honored to partner with Hilinski’s Hope to honor Tyler’s legacy and strengthen student-athlete mental health.
