I run a 5k around the neighborhood six days a week. Used to get runners knee when I first started this routine so mix in some stuff to build strength around the knee, mostly different types of squats. Bought a rowing machine recently and have begun mixing those exercises in too. If I’m going for speed it’s always on the track
It's official! Gambly and Unabated are one. Excited to build alongside some of the best in the business. Most importantly - we are hiring, especially AI-first engineers. Come join the rocketship. Thanks @jeffedelstein for the article. Look for a @BettingStartups pod dropping soon.
With the Big Board now live, switched my best ball rankings builder app over to the 2026 season. You can upload a custom set of rankings (or use my default rankings) and blend with ADP for now. Futures & sentiment data will return later in the offseason

@BigLoaf_Fantasy I think 2026 should be the year you become a slow draft bro. Much easier to find 10 minutes here and there throughout the day to burn through your picks than to commit to fast drafts 40 mins at a time
👨👧👦 8/30/25 — Family Runs
After soccer practice one day, my daughter mentioned she’d like to go running with me sometimes — and over late summer into early fall, we ended up doing several neighborhood runs together. My son joined us a few times too.
These weren’t 5Ks, but they were some of my favorite runs of this whole stretch. I don’t think my kids would’ve even considered trying running if they hadn’t watched me head out every morning for most of their lives, so getting to share it with them was a cool feeling.
...also, I think it’s important to teach them what pain feels like at a young age. 😂
Last week, I completed my 1,500th 5K run! ChatGPT tells me that puts me “almost certainly in the 99.9% of humans by 5K volume.” 😂
I've decided my long-term goal is to reach 5,000 total 5Ks (aka 5k 5Ks).
At my current pace, I’d get there in about 11 years, assuming the legs hold up and I stay injury-free.
Here are a few of the most memorable runs from the last 500👇
🏁 8/17/25 — Setting My Current PR
After my near-miss on 8/9, I wanted a sub-20:00 5K time badly and I figured I had one more chance at it on the track before school started back up in the fall.
I thought I had a real chance and pushed as hard as I could on the final lap — but had to ease up in the last 100 meters when I started dry heaving😅. I limped across the finish line (as you can see in the splits) but still set my current personal record: 20:06. It would’ve been really close to 20:00 if I hadn’t had to slow down at the end.
Hurts to have had a shot at it and come up short, but I do feel like I gave it everything I had. Maybe next year.
