Why is the flight to the Moon so slow?
I've seen the question many times: "Why is the Artemis 2 flight tracker showing such a low speed, or why is it dropping at all?" In short, it's all about gravity.
Even though the spacecraft initially accelerated enough to leave Earth's immediate vicinity, our planet's gravity continues to exert its influence on the way to the Moon. How does it hold the Moon?
As Orion flies, Earth continues to pull it back and slow it down. That's why the speed drops. Orion was initially accelerated enough to fly slightly beyond the Moon's orbit, after which the spacecraft turns under Earth's gravity and, with the additional assistance of the Moon's gravity, rushes back toward Earth—again, under the influence of the Moon's gravity.
The Artemis 2 flight trajectory is not coincidentally called a free-return trajectory. This means it can return without additional thruster activation, using gravity assist (although in practice, corrective maneuvers are used). On the way back, Orion's speed, on the contrary, will increase.
Today in 1785 Mozart's 6 quartets dedicated to Haydn were performed to Haydn in Mozart’s Vienna home After hearing the works Haydn said to Mozart's father 'Before God and as an honest man I tell you that your son is the greatest composer known to me either in person or by name'

中國鋼琴藝術,已成為世界文化力量。
In China, the popularity of Western classical music surged in the 1980s.
Pianists of Chinese nationality or background have since won top prizes at the Chopin Competition in Warsaw: Fou Ts’ong (1955), Yundi Li (2000), Bruce Liu (2021), and Eric Lu and Zitong Wang (2025). Other Chinese pianists have received special recognition at the competition.
Important international-level piano competitions have also been established in China itself. The renowned Chinese-born Yuja Wang stands out separately as an international virtuosa beyond the competition circuit.
THUS, Chinese pianism has become a global cultural force.

Science is the same. You can’t gain expertise in an afternoon.
Everyone has an opinion. But you wouldn’t take music advice from someone who’s never played a note.
So why take science advice from someone who’s never studied it?
Delighted to see our Opinion article featured on the cover of @TrendsCellBio We discuss how specific enzymes release GPI-anchored proteins to alter cell fate. The cover symbolizes the unlocking of signaling components, adapted from "Compositie 1925" by H. N. Werkman (1882–1945).
