That’s a Winner! The Cards defeat the Boutte Bengals by a final score of 10-2 on Friday afternoon at Hahnville High School to improve to 2-0 in the 2D Big Easy Classic.

The Cards were led on the mound by winning pitcher @CadenVallee (Br Martin) who scattered four hits and struck out three over three innings pitched. @Aiden_ward0815 (Pearl River) closed out the game by tossing the final two innings, allowing just one hit, and striking out two.

At the plate, extra base hits ruled the day! Gibbs was led by @DerekW313 (Northshore) who was 1-3 with a two RBI double, @HopkinsEthan03 (U High) who was 1-3 a RBI double, @wmuller15 (Destrehan) who was 1-2 with a 3 RBI triple, @Leaumon1Bronson (Br Martin) who was 1-2 with a solo home run, and @David87193427 (Northshore) who was 1-2 with 3 RBI.

The team is next in action against Double S Baseball on Saturday morning at Destrehan High. First pitch is set for 11:15 am.
