@rina_gill The more honest way of expressing love through his actions. I wish I'd had this way ingrained in my being as a child. I bow to those so imbued.
A food vendor with his cart in El Paso, 1920s. He is at the corner of Overland and Stanton, camera facing north/north east. The buildings in the background still stand. The Zelman Building on the corner (today’s Savoy Lofts) and the 1907 Trost & Trost designed Samaniego Building in the rear. I think --- THINK --- he's selling roasted peanuts. What do y'all think?

The short video captures an impressive moment as the tenor Angelo Loforese, even at the age of 93, confidently showcases his masterful opera technique and powerful vocals alongside the piano.

Happy 96th birthday to Clint Eastwood! 🎂
Before he was Dirty Harry or the Man with No Name, he served in the Army, worked odd jobs, became mayor of Carmel, directed more than 40 films, won 4 Oscars, and was still directing movies in his 90s🔥
HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎂
🎂🥳🎂🥳🎂🥳🎂🥳🥳🎂🥳
Clint Eastwood was born on May 31, 1930, and turns 96 this month.
One of his most well-known quotes is: "Do not let the old man in."
That line became a personal motto about aging, discipline, and refusing to mentally give up. It came from a conversation about staying active, staying curious, and continuing to move forward no matter your age.
Wishing you a very Happy Birthday and many more ahead.
Governor Ann Richards releases a bald eagle along the Rio Grande near Lajitas, Texas in 1993. The eagle had been rehabilitated by Texas Parks and Wildlife biologists, and Ann was there to release the great bird of prey back to the sun-splashed wilds of the desert Southwest. “He looks like he’s ready to go, y’all, don’t he?” Ann said just before setting him free.

Had you found yourself out in the West Texas town of El Paso back in 1905 you might have encountered this laborer sweeping out a railroad car on the El Paso and Northwestern Railroad. This photo was sent in by Traces of Texas reader Richard Lee, who wanted to remind us that folks of Chinese ancestry have a long and proud history out there. They came to El Paso during the building of the railroads and liked it so much that, after that building was done, stuck around and built a vibrant community.
Thank you, Richard. A fantastic shot!
Recorded in Modena in 1994, the performance of the song 'O Sole Mio by Bryan Adams and Luciano Pavarotti was not only a remarkable artistic milestone, but also a solemn tribute honoring the life and career of the legendary maestro.
Bipolar is such a negative term. As shown, Vincent could explode is magnificent and beautiful works of art. Is it no wonder that level of vision and perception could not be maintained? In fact, I think many of us become inspired and create but must pull back and relax afterwards. It is a matter of degree.
My goodness, I've heard this little bit of Carmen my entire life and never had the translation. So beautiful it brought dampness to my eyes.
Also, the ending is sad in real life but is somewhat justified with:
"The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long — and you have burned so very, very brightly, Maria."
Thank you Ms. Callas, for all you brought to us.
