BREAKING: Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! will close in early 2026 to make way for the Avatar destination coming to Disney California Adventure.

Additional details will be shared later, including construction timeframes for the Avatar-themed area.

Disney getting rid of ROA is tragic, but replacing it with a national parks-esque cars land is comforting. The concept art shows it being very nature oriented and I like that.

A lot of people complain that DCA is not “California” enough anymore, but the park today is 100 times better than DCA 1.0
