“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Isaiah 41:10 NIV
God doesn’t make mistakes or fail.
Once saved always saved.
The problem is false assurance of ever being gifted salvation.
We (men) teach that you can just say the sinners prayer and get baptized to be saved.
Or that spiritual gifts or blessings from God are definite signs of the gift of salvation.
Judas was likely baptized, given authority to cast out demons and did many works in God’s name…
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day,‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ -Matthew 7:21-23
Classic R.C. Sproul... a great answer to the supposed severity of man's punishment.
Remember, we worship a God far more holy and powerful than we could ever imagine.
I’m reminded today that you don’t have to dread the horrible if, in the horrible, you find Jesus. And you can find Him and you will find Him if you seek Him—even and especially in the horrible.
“You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.”
Jeremiah 29:13 ESV
The horrible has a way of getting us to the ‘with all your heart’ place.
And when you seek, and when you find, you can even be grateful for the horrible because without it, how sure are you that you would ever seek with all your heart?
Jesus is worth going through the horrible.
I’m still here, just tired and spending my time in the Word and in prayer. Love to you all and God bless 🙏❤️🤗🕊️
The Gospel is not God doing His part while sinners do the rest. Scripture says we were dead in sin, blind to truth, hostile to God, and unable to submit to Him. Salvation is a miracle of sovereign grace from beginning to end.
Christ did not merely make salvation possible. He actually saves His people.
"Salvation belongs to the Lord."

"The planet's pope" is exactly the kind of title that should alarm Christians. Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church, not a globally celebrated religious figure polished for the world's media applause. When the secular world crowns a man with near-messianic language, it says far more about the spirit of the age than it does about biblical Christianity.
