If the Congress really wants to emerge as an alternative to the RSS-BJP raj, it will have to fundamentally alter the edifice of governance. Mere rhetorical slogans will not do when their governments also follow the Hindutva logic of 'infiltrators' or the bidding of big capital
Steinem’s had admitted that she did not just do some work for a CIA-financed foundation or happen to be ‘briefly involved’- she deliberately and knowingly took money from the CIA and actively collaborated with, and endorsed, it
AK is one of the most evil minds that Indian politics has produced. Transactional, devoid of any ethical sense: lies, half-truths, and fraudulent means come easily to him and his party. They can sacrifice the lives of their voters, as they did in Delhi in 2020.
One of the new infamous BJP SM “convenor” the more things change in BJP’s troll army under Modi the more things remain the same. The gent has now deleted all his tweets
The UGC Net re-exam raises questions about not just the incompetence but also the integrity of NTA. Look at the chronology:
1. The exams were conducted from 22nd June to 30th June. The English exam was on 25th June. Jantar Mantar protests were at the peak.
2. In the English paper, 67 of the 150 questions were repeat from the 2024 paper, verbatim. The sociology and commerce paper had spelling and factual errors and had rumours of leaked paper.
3. Complaints started pouring in soon. The answer key was delayed because NTA knew they blundered. They were delaying the inevitable.
4. On 8th August, students announced a protest at NTA office on 11th August. On 10th August, NTA announced that they will release the answer keys within the week.
5. On 11th August, they release the answer keys for all but the three doubtful ones. On 16th August, they announced a re-exam.
Finding the errors did not need a committee. It takes a couple of hours to realise that most of the paper was a reprint of the old one, that there were spelling and factual errors. It did not require an investigation. They knew it in 30th June.
The best solution would have been to scrap and conduct the exam in the shortest possible time. But they were already fighting a fire in Jantar Mantar. They wanted to postpone a solution. So, they waited for 7 weeks. They chose to save their skin while compromising the academic cycle of 9 lac students. That is a question of integrity of NTA which prioritised themselves over students.
The only long term solution would come from the committee formed by Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi Modi headed by @NandanNilekani. Till then, we will have to suffer NTA which survived while a cabinet minister and Secretary were shunted out..
NTA are the real cockroaches - They survived while everything around them fell - minister, bureaucracy, students and education.
AAP has found a new way to silence journalists in Punjab. Copyright law! It has used IP claims to take down their Facebook pages and posts critical of the state govt. It’s claim: They aren’t journalists because they don’t have journalism degrees.

Jantar Mantar protests did a world of good to India and Indians. It empowered students across states. It focussed on education as a need, a demand and a right that should be fought for. Indian students are done waiting. A wave of protests have hit UP, Bihar, Rajasthan, MP, Maharashtra & Jharkhand etc.
In Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, about 1,500 students, Classes 6-12, staged a 6-hour sit-in at Sarvodaya Inter College. No fans, no library, no computer lab, unsafe drinking water, broken desks. Officials came calling within a day.
In Gays, Bihar, A government school with a broken hand pump, dead fans, shattered benches. Students protested and refused to speak to a junior official. They demanded the District Magistrate himself show up. He did.
In Jalore, Rajasthan, students locked the gates themselves, demanding teachers for grades 1-3 that simply weren’t there.
In Barmer’s Ramsar school, same story. Kids literally not being taught subjects due to staff shortages.
Across MP, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Similar walkouts reported. Same core demands echoing across states: functional fans, clean water, hygienic toilets, teachers actually in the classroom.
What Jantar Mantar protests achieved is exceptional. India is discussing education, faculty shortages, unfairness, paper leaks, lack of school infrastructure. None of these demands are unreasonable and the minimum a public school owes a child. The fact it took a viral sit in to get it fixed is the real story.
I only wish this continues. We should continue to bring student issues to the forefront. Empower them with coverage, conversations. This can’t be allowed to fade as a one week news cycle. Keep asking. Keep covering. About vacant teacher posts in your district? What happened to the school infrastructure budget? Tag your local officials.
Don’t let this fade.
Please don’t let it fade.
The RSS doesn't simply spread ideas. It builds the social machinery that reproduces the people who hold those ideas. Schools, local branches, cultural organizations, student groups, charities, neighbourhood networks—ideology is carried through institutions that outlive
The whole nation should HANG ITS HEAD IN SHAME for TERRORISING a 15 year old MINOR child to issue an apology over camera to WHOLE NATION for something that GROWN-UP adults do DAILY in this country WITH IMPUNITY.
Instead of REPRIMANDING his THUGS who DOXXED her, OPENLY INCITED MOBS TO THREATEN her for doing a NON CRIMINAL ACT, Modi comes and says I FORGIVE YOU ALL. EFFING SHAMELESS. NATIONAL EMBARRASSMENT.
