In my opinion trying to prove which system (centralised decentralised) is better is meaningless as is always depends on the actual situation.

Both have + and - and both systems are good.

And just for the record there are numerous cases of bank accounts being stolen (hacked) and there was 0 responsibility taken by the related banks.

In any case my point is comparing is meaningless. Just pick what is best for you based on your needs. Both systems have risks just of a different kind
