A grown man takes you at your word because he respects the words. The fact that you find that annoying is information about you that you should sit with privately. You should be actually embarrassed by your thought process
She fell out of love with her husband because he stopped providing, and now she has gone back to her ex, who already has a baby on the way with another woman. Now she’s asking what she should do.
Teyana Taylor, post divorce and a smear campaign, now wants to know why her ex husband has decided to opt out of helping her. It’s like men really are just emotionless robots that only exist to provide, protect and die
They calling me a villain because I advocate for Black men and boys. If that makes me the bad guy, cool. Not finna go along with pathologizing my people the way so many others are happy to just because it’s pop culture.
Twitter don’t even discuss relationships like they tryna find a teammate to go through life with.
They talk about their partners like they bouta hit a lick
MBJ having the opportunity to have his own production company and executive produce projects but not giving opportunities to black actresses… all right then
What’s killing me is reading responses like this generalizing Black men as threats to their families from people who never stop to reflect on the fact that Black women perpetrate higher rates of filicide and child maltreatment than any demographic. Yet there is not a historical caricaturization of Black women as threats to children.
So the minority of Black men who perpetrate violence against their families are thought to be representative of the whole (“art reflecting the times”), while the violence Black women perpetrate is completely omitted and absolved in feminist narratives. We gotta stop pretending like these people aren’t just racist divestors projecting hate against Black men under a guise of anti-violence advocacy.
