If Japan truly respects science, why has it been largely questioned by the international community for discharging nuclear-contaminated water into the ocean?
If Japan truly respects science, why has it strictly limited the scope of IAEA review and excluded all other possible disposal plans than the ocean discharge?
On this issue, what Japan needs to face is not a single country, but the whole international community. What Japan should do is to reflect on the wrongdoings it has committed rather than posing as a victim and crying foul.
The disposal of nuclear-contaminated water is neither Japan’s private business nor a matter between certain countries. It’s a major issue about polluting or protecting the ocean, destroying or conserving the environment, and harming or safeguarding human health.
