Note to Indian origin foreign politicians and foreign NGOs. The more you tweet in support of any political movement, organisation or person in India, you deal them a death blow. It’s seen as conclusive proof of foreign subversion.

I understand this is a tough concept for Americans and Europeans to get since they seek mutual validation and reassurance, (the Golden Arches theory or whatever BS) but your “validation” in the Indian context is a poisoned chalice.

Your embassies in Delhi are mostly too anglophone to understand how this plays out with India’s non anglophone population. Compounding this is the fact your embassies are also too dumb to understand the depth and scope of their lacunas and their love of listening to what reinforces their beliefs instead of challenging it.

Those asking you to be loud, do so because it gives them individual publicity and opens up whole new avenues of networking and funding. It doesn’t ever help the intended victim/target.

So please be my guest and tweet more about the CJP, and journos, and the electoral revision. It’s fun because it riles up the right…. But it’s even more fun, because you take that riling up as “impact”. …it tickles your vainglorious belief that you’ve achieved “something” “noble” and “meaningful” however intangible. Whereas you don’t even realise, you’ve wrecked any chance your pet movement/organisation/person had, because they’ll be tainted permanently by association with you.
