KIBAKI was voted President of Kenya at the age of 71. But Othaya, had voted him as MP at the age of 43 in 1974 having already served as MP in Nairobi from 1963. And in just 4 years he became Vice President.

FIRST: Ask the people of Othaya to show you what Kibaki did as the MP and Vice President and you will be amazed. Nearly every public institution there has his hands in it.

TWO, there is a general, national consensus that electing Mwai Kibaki President in 2002 at the age of 71 was a big opportunity already missed. If Kibaki had become President in 1992, this country would be miles and miles ahead.
