Karnataka’s First Wolf Sanctuary at Bankapur has welcomed 8 Pups ! A big Win for wildlife conservation ! Big predators like tigers & lions get all the attention, but every species matters, including the often-overlooked Indian grey wolf. Wolves are keystone predators,keeping ecosystems in balance by controlling prey populations. But habitat loss & human wildlife conflicts have pushed them to the brink. Protected areas help in Wildlife conservation. Since its creation in 2021, the sanctuary has provided a secure space for wolves to thrive. A lone wolf in Dhule was in distress, too weak to stand and seemingly blind. Dhule Forest Department team rescued him and brought him to @Resq_EcoEcho Nashik where our team worked tirelessly to stabilize him on arrival. Although he's now on his feet, his vision is compromised, hinting at possible head trauma.

The next chapter of his recovery is unfolding at @resqct Wildlife TTC Pune, where he's undergoing treatment for his eye. We're all rooting for this brave wolf and hope he fights his way back to the wild. @AbhimahaleWild @TSatarkar @DrChetanVanjari @harshad18397 @manoharnagre21 @MahaForest
