Karnataka’s First Wolf Sanctuary at Bankapur has welcomed 8 Pups ! A big Win for wildlife conservation ! Big predators like tigers & lions get all the attention, but every species matters, including the often-overlooked Indian grey wolf. Wolves are keystone predators, keeping ecosystems in balance by controlling prey populations. But habitat loss & human wildlife conflicts have pushed them to the brink. Protected areas help in Wildlife conservation. Since its creation in 2021, the sanctuary has provided a secure space for wolves to thrive. This is proof that we need more protected areas for endangered/threatened species. Read more https://t.co/Hl1vEZzPl3

Check out this wonderfully perplexing documentation of a lone wolf being a part of a dhole pack! 🦊🐺🦊
A few months ago, there was a video of a wolf being chased away from a dhole kill. This seems to be the same pack. Video Credits:- Vineith Mahadev #dhole#wolf#behaviour
A lone wolf in Dhule was in distress, too weak to stand and seemingly blind. Dhule Forest Department team rescued him and brought him to @Resq_EcoEcho Nashik where our team worked tirelessly to stabilize him on arrival. Although he's now on his feet, his vision is compromised, hinting at possible head trauma.
The next chapter of his recovery is unfolding at @resqct Wildlife TTC Pune, where he's undergoing treatment for his eye. We're all rooting for this brave wolf and hope he fights his way back to the wild. @AbhimahaleWild@TSatarkar@DrChetanVanjari@harshad18397@manoharnagre21@MahaForest

The grey wolf, blackbuck, and Great Indian Bustard are often found in the same landscapes such as Nannaj and are struggling to survive as their #grassland ecosystems are under tremendous pressure. #GIB More in our Wild #Mahrashtra: https://t.co/HwwJvCgyOg
The #grassland#species of Nannaj fight a long, hard #battle for survival. The critically #endangered#GIB has been hunted over the years for meat and #sport, and now faces #habitat loss. Nannaj is also vital to the #blackbuck & Indian grey #wolf, caught in a single frame here.
A very rare photo (taken in 2015), a pack of 7 wolves in Luni river bed, near Jodhpur, Rajasthan. There is a small population of wolves in Thar Desert, roaming in very large area and facing huge challenge of retaliatory killing by livestock herders.
