Indigenous knowledges are holistic. It works within a series of interconnected relationships. Fire management can’t be extracted from the whole and be expected to work. It only works as part of a complete system, one which values relationships in a way that Aus isn’t ready for...
Extremely grateful to be invited by my deadly friends at @TCEO to MC their State Indigenous Education Conference this week. An absolute honour to spend time with Aunty Miriam Rose Ungunmerr-Baumann and for our wonderful friend Gail Mabo to come and share stories of her Dad & Mum.

Seriously this time:
4. Ask yourself who benefits from the racist portrayal of Indigenous Australians? It’s not FNPs ... does it sell newspapers? Does it ease colonial guilt? Does it perpetuate prison systems or pubs?

Thread: I know it seems a bit of ‘fun’ to disparage Queenslanders because of the poor Labor showing, but I & many others stood for hours handing out HTV’s in our red shirts & these comments are hurtful. As a Katter Country (Kennedy) elector I’m used to never seeing your candidate
@AnthonyCole68@tallandtrue@AustralianLabor and @greens need to reform the electoral system to proportional representation of 1 vote = 1 value. This BS inequitable system is the death of Australia. Why is this still tolerated? LNP 8.4% vote = 23 seats. Greens 10% vote = 1 seat. NZ has reformed, #auspol now
No biggie, Blackfullas are used to disappointment in other Australians. We get let down all the time. The rest of you get let down every 3 years or so. #Auspol
